Don Quixote

January 31-February 1, 2020

Don Quixote is a ballet based on episodes taken from the famous novel Don Quixote de la Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes. It was originally choreographed by Marius Petipa to the music of Ludwig Minkus and first presented by the Ballet of the Imperial Bolshoi Theatre of Moscow, Russia on December 26, 1869. Atlanta Academy of Ballet and Dance has adapted this story for a modern fun-filled, energetic production!

Alice in Wonderland is a ballet choreographed after the 1865 novel written by author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll. It tells of a girl named Alice falling through a rabbit hole into a fantasy world populated by peculiar creatures. Along her journey, Alice meets dancing Rabbits, Mice, Butterflies, Caterpillars, Cheshire Cat, Duchesses, Queens and even a dancing Deck of Cards! Come along for the “fall” and you decide if it was really a dream!
