The Intermediate Ballet Academy requires 11.75 hours per week for our Intermediate level (grades 6 and up) Dancers:

(Acceptance by Audition or Teacher Recommendation)

Required:

* Monday - Thursday: 5:00-7:15

* Saturday:

* Perform in Christmas Show

* Perform in Winter Show

* Perform in Recital

* Saturday Show Rehearsals as called

 

Summer Requirements: This program requires each dancer to complete 3 weeks of summer intensives at AABD.

Classes include: Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Lyrical, PBT, Conditioning

Dancers may add Tap and/or Hip Hop to their schedule. Tuition for those classes will be 50% off published class fee.

           

This level of Ballet builds on basic classical ballet training, vocabulary, and musicality. Classes include barre and center work incorporating ballet theory and traditional exercises with floor work for strength and conditioning. Beginning pointe work is introduced to students who are physically and technically ready to undertake the rigors. Dancers must be preapproved to begin pointe work. 3 years of prior Classical training suggested.
