Intermediate Ballet Academy
The Intermediate Ballet Academy requires 10.75 hours per week for our Intermediate level (grades 6 and up) Dancers:

5 days per week (additional evening and weekend classes and rehearsals as necessary)

Monday-Thursday Classes 5:00 - 7:15 pm, Friday 5:00 - 6:45 pm
Classes include: Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Modern, Musical Theater, PBT.

Summer Requirements: This program requires each dancer to complete 3 weeks of summer intensives at AABD if staying local.
This level of Ballet builds on basic classical ballet training, vocabulary, and musicality. Classes include barre and center work incorporating ballet theory and traditional exercises with floor work for strength and conditioning. Beginning pointe work is introduced to students who are physically and technically ready to undertake the rigors. Dancers must be preapproved to begin pointe work. 3 years of prior Classical training suggested.

Dancers will be involved in 4 Performances: Christmas Show, Winter Show, Year-End Recital, and Mixed Repertoire Showcase with additional Saturday required rehearsals. *Additional Show fees
