Level 2 - Grade 2/3 Pre-Professional Path

(Acceptance by Audition or Teacher Recommendation)

 

Required:
* Saturday 10:30-1:00

    * Ballet: Contemporary/Lyrical: PBT/Conditioning

* One additional Ballet Class

* One "other" genre class

     * Jazz: Contemporary/Lyrical

* Perform in Christmas Show

* May Perform in the Winter Show

* Perform in Recital

* All Show fees are additional, not included in monthly fee

* Summer Requirements: This program requires dancers to complete 1 week  1/2 day summer intensives at AABD.

This path allows your dancer to continue focusing on classical ballet technique while introducing other genres necessary for today's dancers. Connecting with a group, dancers continue learning the regimen of a traditional classical ballet class, focus on technique and musicality as well as concentrate on proper body alignment, turn-out of the legs and hips, and strength of the feet. Class structure includes barre, center work, stretching, turning and jumping movements, increased ballet vocabulary, classroom etiquette, developmental and problem-solving skills.
