Michelle Chamberlain

Michelle's training began more than 30 years ago when she stepped foot in her first ballet class.  A native of Powder Springs, GA, her dance training began under Denise Scarborough and Susan Beebe.  She later moved to Ruth Mitchell Dance Theatre to continue her training with Susan, also studying under Martha Goodman and the iconic Ruth Mitchell.  The college years took her to Furman University in Greenville, SC where she received a BA Degree in Communication Studies.  After almost a decade in the corporate world, Michelle decided to pursue her passion for personal fitness and began teaching group fitness classes including barre, yoga, indoor cycling, and boot camps.

She is a certified instructor for Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) and the Leap ‘n Learn Early Childhood Dance Program.  Michelle also holds certifications in group fitness instruction, strength training, dance fitness, Beyond Barre™ and BUTI© Yoga.  She enhances her teaching by attending continuing education courses and fitness/wellness conventions and is in constant pursuit of the perfect playlist.  Returning to the dance studio to help train the next generation of dancers in ballet, modern, conditioning and an overall love of movement is a great privilege and pleasure.
