Michelle Chamberlain
Michelle's training began more than 30 years ago when she stepped foot in her first ballet class. Ballet is, and will always continue to be, her “first love.”
A native of Powder Springs, GA, her dance training began under Denise Scarborough and Susan Beebe. She continued her training with Ms. Beebe at Ruth Mitchell Dance Theatre, also studying under Martha Goodman and the iconic Ruth Mitchell. The college years took her to Furman University in Greenville, SC where she received a BA Degree in Communication Studies. After almost a decade in the business world, and taking dance classes after she left the office, Michelle decided to leave corporate America in order to raise her family and pursue a career in the fitness industry. That journey combined with her love of ballet has brought her excitedly back into the dance studio to help teach and train the next generation of dancers.
She is a certified instructor for Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), Revolutionary Principles of Movement (RPM) and the Leap ‘n Learn Early Childhood Dance Program. Michelle also holds certifications in group fitness instruction, strength training, dance fitness, Beyond Barre™ and BUTI© Yoga. She has taught classes in barre fitness, yoga, indoor cycling and boot camps. She enhances her teaching by attending continuing education courses and fitness/wellness conventions and is in constant pursuit of the perfect playlist.
