Megan Reardon-Johnson

 

Megan Reardon-Johnson is a life-long resident of Atlanta and enjoys a professional dance career while also teaching. She is dancing her 6th season as a Professional Company member with Georgia Dance Theatre, Peachtree City, GA. While at GDT, Megan has had the honor of dancing such lead roles as "Maria" in Sherri Davis’ original work of West Side Story the Ballet, demi-soloist in Giselle, "Fleur De Lyes" in Hunchback of Notre Dame, "Lilac Fairy" in Sleeping Beauty, "Odette" in Swan Lake, as well as "Sugar Plum Fairy", "Dewdrop", "Snow Queen", "Dolls", and "Arabian" lead in the Nutcracker. Additional professional performances include musical theater works such as "The Will Roger’s Follies" with Atlanta Lyric Theater, "Copacabana" and "Pippin" with CCCEPA, and "Spellbound" performed overseas in Scotland. Her earliest days of dancing began with Impact Dance Atlanta under the Direction of Kari Carter, where she trained with Susan Beebe, Amanda Neeley, and Tara Thibodeaux-Drew. She was a dance major with Pebblebrook Performing Arts High School as well as North Atlanta School of the Arts on scholarship. After graduation, Megan attended Belhaven University with a dance and academic scholarship until she transferred to Ballet Magnificat! as a Trainee. Megan also trained with Atlanta Ballet under Sherri Davis’ direction for the last 5 years. Megan is passionate about raising up the next generation of dancers and instilling in them strength and confidence for not only the studio but also in life.
