Cassie Broussard

 

 

Originally from Marietta, Georgia, Cassie began dancing at an early age at Center Stage School of Dance before starting her training at Pebblebrook High School CCCEPA, as a dance major and vocal minor. She trained in many different styles such as Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop, and Tap. Cassie was also a part of Pebblebrook High School’s Musical Theatre group, "ComPAny 2010&2011".

 

Some of her Atlanta dance credits include working with Dance Canvas, under the direction of Angela Harris, where she choreographed for Dance Canvas’ 5th Anniversary, and had the opportunity to dance Lonnie Davis, Tracy Vogt, Ray Hall, and Kassandra Taylor Newberry works. She continued her training at Point Park University’s BFA Program double majoring in Jazz&Modern dance, apprenticed with City Gate Dance Theatre, and then toured the Mediterranean with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.

 

Cassie has lived in New York City for the past 7 years, where she expanded her creative nuances by studying Indian Contemporary under the direction of Brinda Guha, and is a company member of Kalamandir Dance Company. She has also worked with other prestigious NYC based choreographers and professional contemporary companies. With that, Cassie has performed at NRG Stadium, Symphony Space, New York Jazz Choreography Project, Battery Dance Festival, StylePoint’s New York Fashion Week, RAW Artist Showcase, and more. Cassie is very excited to be back to her hometown, and to be a part of AABD faculty where she can share her experiences and passion for dance.
