Michelle Kakaty
Michelle Kakaty has been teaching gymnastics, tumbling, and stunting in the Atlanta area for almost thirty years. She began her gymnastics and dance studies competing across the Southeast with Gym America, and her cheerleading studies competing on all-star cheerleading teams today known as Stingray Allstars. In high school, she taught gymnastics at the YMCA and choreographed national routines for cheerleading teams. As part of dual enrollment, Michelle cheered on co-ed collegiate teams for Georgia State University and went on to travel across the Southeast on staff for the National Cheerleading Association. With a team of coaches, she led a range of dance, jump, stunt, and tumbling clinics from mega camps on college campuses like FSU, UGA, and UNC through micro camps on individual high school campuses. Her local experience includes coaching acrobatics, gymnastics, tumbling, stunting at Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta (Central), LA Power Tumble and FlowAcro at Atlanta Academy of Ballet and Dance. Outside of acrobatics, Michelle graduated magna cum laude with a marketing degree from the University of Georgia. Her range of leadership repertoire varies from Transportation Supervision for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics Games to International Marketing Strategy at IBM. Overall, Michelle believes in systematic and progressional development in a safe and fun environment. All athletes are like popcorn. Give them encouragement, the right environment, and the right amount of heat, and they will pop on their own time frame.
